We regularly get our team to anonymously tell us what they think of working here, using the results to help improve our levels of employee engagement and make Frettens a better place to work.
Independent surveyors Best Companies carry out the survey for us and have recognised us as an 'outstanding' place to work for in 2025.
The results
In the November 2024 survey, we received our strongest ever results, being recognised as an ‘outstanding’ place to work for the third time in three years.
The results are a near 7% improvement year on year, with more staff expressing strong positivity about their wellbeing, personal growth, and confidence in the firm's management and leadership than ever before.
More of the team than ever took part in the survey, giving us the most accurate representation of employee engagement to date.

Why we take part
“The Best Companies survey gives us an accurate depiction of working life at Frettens, helping us to improve and generally make people feel a lot more involved.” said Matthew Fretten.
“The survey’s anonymity allows our staff to give their honest, unfiltered thoughts on the firm and their place within it; and helps us to identify any opportunities that haven’t already been raised in other forums throughout the year.
Since 2018, we have used the feedback to make tangible, substantial changes to the company and improvements to employee engagement firmwide. This year is no different, and we have already began looking into where we can improve off the back of the results.”
