Rosie is a Partner within the family team and specialises in all areas of private family law.

Work

Rosie qualified as a solicitor in 2010 and previously worked at two firms in Dorset and Wiltshire, both known for their private client work, before joining Frettens in 2025. 

Rosie has a vast amount of experience including:

  • Divorce and financial settlements (often involving businesses, complex assets, pensions and /or income arrangements, estates, farms and trusts).
  • Prenuptial and postnuptial agreements. 
  • Children arrangements including relocation within the UK and abroad.
  • Cohabitee claims on separation.
  • Advisory work for trusts and family businesses.

Rosie is recognised in both Chambers & Partners and Legal 500 (independent legal directories).

Rosie is a member of Resolution and is committed to helping clients achieve the best outcome for them and their family in a non-confrontational way where possible.  Rosie tailors her approach to each case depending on the individual facts and what is important to her client.

Experience:

  • Regularly involved in preparing prenuptial agreements involving inherited businesses/shares/assets and assets in foreign jurisdictions, including liaising with foreign lawyers when necessary.
  • Acted for a wife in negotiating a financial settlement (utilising a private FDR forum) involving English and Spanish properties, pensions and an offshore trust where the majority of the family wealth was held in the husband’s name.
  • Acted for a husband in his divorce and negotiated a financial settlement enabling him to retain his family’s ancestral home and inherited assets and ensuring a fair division of matrimonial assets.
  • Acted for a father in successfully opposing the mother’s application to relocation with their child to her home country (USA) and negotiated new living arrangements for the child in England.

Play

Outside of work, Rosie loves spending time with her husband and their two small children, going on countryside walks (to tire out said children), and foodie gatherings with family and friends.
