A group of local Solicitors is teaming up to help people plan for the future and raise money for a local charity by taking part in Lewis-Manning Hospice’s “Make a Will Fortnight”, which runs from the 11th – 22nd June 2012.
The campaign aims to raise vital funds for the hospice as well increase awareness about the importance of gifts in wills to their organisation.
The Frettens Wills & Tax Team are taking part and they are offering to write a standard will for free, on the basis that the client will make a donation to the hospice. The suggested donation amounts are £75 for a single will and £110 for a joint will. For more complicated wills, requiring specialist advice, a fee will be agreed in advance.
You can make an appointment via Lewis-Manning to see Lee Young, Heather Varley, Julie Frampton or Kelly Taylor in advance of the Make a Will Fortnight, but the actual will writing will take place between 11th and 22nd June 2012.
Head of the Wills & Tax Team, Lee Young, says “We are pleased to be donating our time to help to raise funds for the hospice. Making a will is one of the most positive things you can do for your family’s future. Planning can ensure the best possible outcome for the generations to come. By making your will through this campaign, you have peace of mind in knowing that your loved ones are taken care of, but you will also be helping to raise much needed funds for local people living with cancer and other life threatening illnesses.”
If you would like to make your will through the Lewis-Manning campaign, please call Sally Goodenough at Lewis Manning on 01202 701000 or email sally@lewis-manning.co.uk to make an appointment.
