On Friday 29th July, Frettens hosted an Olympic themed quiz night at Chapel Gate in aid of Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance.
Teams from local businesses including Frettens represented different Olympic sports. All the teams dressed up to represent their chosen sport and a prize for the best dressed, was awarded to the Jamaican bobsleigh team!
The quiz consisted of several rounds including Olympics, Film & TV, General Knowledge and Music questions. At half-time, we were busy selling raffle tickets while refreshments were served and we all enjoyed a Thai curry!
The second half saw rounds on Logos, Geography, Sport and Food & Drink. Our social committee comprising of Christine Chant, Heather Varley, Sue Cook & Louise O'Connell were the referees for the event.
At the closing ceremony, Saffery Champness were crowned winners with 80 points out of a possible 110, closely followed by one of the Fretten's teams including Andrew Guilfoyle, Ros Keenan and Joshua Daley with 77.
It was a thoroughly enjoyable evening with a fantastic total of £903.21 being raised for our Charity of the Year, Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance. A big Thank You to all those who took part, dressed up and kindly donated to the raffle draw, with a special mention to Farley & Thompson (Basketball Team) for their generous donation.
