Associate Solicitor, Fiona Knight and Solicitor, Charlotte Bunch have joined Frettens’ rapidly-growing Commercial Property Team.
Partner, Oonagh McKinney, now heads one of the most experienced and largest specialist Commercial Property Teams in the area.
“I am absolutely delighted to welcome both Fiona and Charlotte to the team.
Fiona is a very highly-regarded solicitor locally. She adds a wealth of experience, not just in commercial property, but also business development and management to the team, having been a Partner and Director at other local firms.
Charlotte is an extremely promising young solicitor, who we are sure will flourish in our well-balanced and busy Commercial Property Team.”
Fiona is a well-respected senior solicitor with over 25 years of wide-ranging commercial and residential property expertise. She has acted for some of the area's most important and prominent property developers and on major hotel, office, retail and industrial unit transactions.
For the last 2 years, Fiona has worked as a locum, which included a period at Frettens.
“Having worked at Frettens as a locum, I could see that the firm had quality clients and work and that the organisation and support at the firm was excellent.
As a locum, I missed the ongoing contact and work with clients and seeing their transactions through from start to finish. Although I enjoyed the challenges of locum work, I also missed being part of a team and a firm on a permanent basis."
Charlotte undertook her training contract at a Southampton firm, having graduated from Southampton University. Whilst training, she attended the Legal Practice Course at the University of Law, where she was awarded a Distinction. Charlotte then qualified into commercial property in September 2017 having had over 2 years’ property experience.
“I am delighted to have joined the strong and expanding Commercial Property Team. Frettens attracted me as a forward-thinking firm which recognises that setting a positive working environmental runs hand in hand with providing an excellent service to clients. The staff are approachable and friendly and I look forward to what the future brings.”
Charlotte deals with all aspects of commercial property work including acquisitions and disposals, landlord and tenant work, and secured lending.
Fiona and Charlotte follow a number of experienced recent additions to the team, which has grown significantly in both size and reputation over the last couple of years. The Team is already recommended in the Legal 500, an independent industry guide, in which four of the existing solicitors are also personally recommended.
