83 years of Frettens experience coming to Ringwood

The Partners at Frettens Solicitors were delighted last week to announce the opening of a second office in Ringwood in July 2018.

Who will be based at Ringwood?

The Ringwood team has an impressive 83 years of service at Frettens between them.

This means that not only are they experienced legal advisers, they understand the culture and service levels that Frettens are known for, and are therefore equipped to create this new office.

Michelle Hayter - Dispute Resolution Partner

Michelle joined Frettens in 2005 and became a Partner of the firm in 2010. She will take overall responsibility for the team at Ringwood in developing new relationships and work for the firm. Michelle is a well regarded solicitor in both civil and commercial litigation, also recognised in the Legal 500 as an expert in these fields. She can help clients with any type of legal dispute including breach of contract, debt recovery and landlord & tenant disputes and she is a qualified specialist in dealing with disputes over wills and inheritances.

Lee Young - Wills & Tax Partner

Lee joined Frettens in 2009 as a Partner and Head of the Wills & Tax Team. Lee (who is dual qualified as a solicitor and chartered tax adviser) has vast experience in writing wills, powers of attorney, the administration of trusts and estates and tax planning and compliance advice. Lee is also highlighted as a specialist in the Legal 500 for his work.

Simon Immins - Family Associate

Simon is a new face at Frettens, but he is an extremely well established Family & collaborative solicitor in the area, notching up over 30 years in the profession. He has specialised knowledge of divorce and separation, his expertise includes also dealing with division of finances arising from divorce handling Children Act Matters, and cohabitation disputes.

Michelle Petersen - Conveyancing Executive

Michelle has an extensive range of property expertise with over 12 years’ experience. She joined Frettens in 2014 as a Residential Conveyancer where she managed a team of conveyancers. She then progressed into Commercial Property working with Oonagh McKinney on all types of commercial leases, refinancing and property development. As a Ferndown local, Michelle was pleased to take up the opportunity to re-establish her conveyancing roots and lead our Residential Department in the Ringwood office.

Sarah Leach - Conveyancing Senior Paralegal

Sarah joined Frettens in 2015 and is an established and experienced Paralegal who has gained lots of conveyancing experience in her progression through the Department. Sarah is a Ringwood resident and is therefore a natural choice to work alongside Michelle and develop our conveyancing work in Ringwood.

Karen Edwards - Commercial Associate

An experienced solicitor in our Commercial Team, Karen deals with a variety of commercial contracts and specialises in company sales, acquisitions and mergers. Karen first joined Frettens in 2008 and did her training contract at Frettens. Since qualifying in 2010, she has been promoted to Associate status in the firm as a result of her expertise and reputation in the area.

Ben Cobb - Commercial Property Solicitor

Ben is also relatively new to the team, having joined Frettens in January 2018. He is an experienced Commercial property lawyer, looking forward to engaging with businesses in and around Ringwood. Ben has a particular expertise in commercial landlord and tenant work acting for both landlords and tenants in drafting, negotiating and agreeing new leases, lease renewals and licences in connection with business premises. Ben also handles the property aspects of company mergers and acquisitions.

Sarah Baron - PA

Sarah ranks as the longest serving member of staff going to Ringwood, having joined the firm in 1989. Nearly three decades of experience at the firm means that she is one of our most capable and reliable PA's and will therefore be able to keep up with all of the lawyers in Ringwood!

Christine Chant - Receptionist

Christine has been with Frettens since 2005, beginning as a Receptionist, progressing into our Marketing Team and becoming an asset to the firm's events for the last five years. She has also recently stepped in to assist our Ask Us Team in handling initial enquiries. This all round experience and knowledge of our firm will make Christine a vital cog in the workings at our Ringwood office. Her new role as front of house will see her dealing with the day to day running of the office and supporting Sarah with some administration for the lawyers.
