Two new solicitors have joined Frettens’ Corporate & Commercial Team, making them one of the ‘most experienced and best-resourced in the area’.
Paul Longland (second on the left) and Zoe Watson (second on the right) join partner Karen Edwards’ team, meaning they now have six lawyers working exclusively on corporate and commercial transactions.
Experienced Corporate Solicitor joins Frettens’ Team
Paul was a partner for 30 years at another highly regarded corporate firm in Bournemouth and will bring all of his experience in getting large transactions over the line to the Frettens team.
“I have known Frettens for many years and know it as a forward-looking, busy and very approachable firm. They offer a high standard of legal advice through all their practice areas, including corporate law, which I specialise in.
When I received an offer to join the team after retiring as a partner from another law firm, I was very pleased to accept it and I am looking forward to the prospect of working with them.”

Karen Edwards is delighted with the arrival of her new team members.

The addition of Zoe Watson
Speaking of other team members, Zoe Watson joined the team on the same day.
Zoe arrives from the commercial team at another local firm, where she completed her training in 2020.
She has since practiced as a commercial solicitor, working on company sales and disposals, as well as general commercial advice.

Corporate Team growth reflective of the firm as a whole
Paul and Zoe are the latest in a number of new faces at Frettens, with over twenty people joining the firm already this year.

Twenty years ago, we were a fairly traditional high street practice, without a commercial offering. Now, almost half of our work is for commercial clients and we have a team to rival almost any other in the area. We have certainly ‘grown up’ a lot in that time."
