Frettens are delighted to announce that Chris Dobbs has joined our highly regarded, specialist Employment Team.
A graduate of Loughborough University and Guildford University of Law, he has relocated to Christchurch, having spent the last four years with a firm in Surrey, dealing mainly with unfair dismissal and workplace discrimination claims.
Chris joins Head of Employment, Paul Burton, and Partner Kate Fretten in what is now one of the largest and most experienced Employment Law Teams in the area.
There are not that many firms in the Bournemouth area with a specialist Employment solicitor, so for Frettens now to have three, all working exclusively on Employment and HR matters, is quite remarkable.
Head of the team, Paul Burton said, “I am delighted Chris has chosen to relocate to join the team. He is clearly a talented lawyer but more importantly, in such a complex area of the law, has ability to communicate clearly and simply with our clients.
We place such a high value on these interpersonal skills at Frettens and we are glad to have found someone who will fit in and serve our clients well.”
Chris comments "I am delighted to have joined an already strong and experienced Employment Law team. Moving not just to a new firm but to a completely new town was a huge step for me; the welcoming and positive attitude of everyone at Frettens has made it so much less daunting.
That same openness is key to the firm’s excellent approach to client service and I look forward to what the future has in store for us as a team.”
The expansion comes after years of hard work and investment, representing individuals and businesses in both contentious and non-contentious matters.
The team’s regular Employment briefings, as well as monthly newsletters, provide local businesses with the opportunity to keep up-to-date with all the latest developments in an ever-changing environment.
They provide an increasingly popular Employer Protection Policy. The retainer-based fee structure for specialist HR legal advice, backed by insurance protection against any claims by employees, has proved popular with many of the firm’s clients for whom they provide regular HR advice and support.
