Frettens Netball Team opens the season with a victory!

The Summer league of Bournemouth Netball Association opened on 7th March with a match between Frettens and Bournemouth 14 and ”Team Frettens” were delighted to notch up their first victory!

Frettens were delighted to welcome Heidi Cardoza to the team as Goalkeeper making an excellent contribution to the team and saving several goals with the help of Laura Martin and Hayley Selby in defensive roles.

Brockenhurst new recruit Kaitlin Stone joined Lianne Mailing and Aimee Barnett in the Centre and Wing positions and all three had a great game, managing to zip around the court and wear out the opposition!

Up front, shooters Charlotte Wilson, Karen Edwards and Michele Overton-Holmes reunited and scored a much celebrated 18 goals!

The match finished 18-11 to Frettens. Fellow team members Louise O’Connell and Helen Jones look forward to playing with the mighty Frettens in the next matches. Bring on the “Space Invaders” next Wednesday!
